The Gentler Cleaner Solution™

I'm selling my home.  Do I have to remove the moss?

Make sure gutters and roof are swept and cleaned.  If you see any roof moss or dry rot, consider hiring a roof specialist to fix the problem.  Roof problems are a turn-off to buyers, and a common cause of failed inspections and transactions failing to close.  Pasted from <http://www.sandykaduce.com/index.cfm?fuseAction=content.viewCustomPage&contentID=62646>

Is roof moss control a good value for my money?

Check soffits, fascia boards and gutters for mildew stains, roof moss and rot. Make sure gutters are cleaned. You don't want the buyer to be turned off by cosmetic things or a home inspector to identify a long list of problems that you can correct at minimal cost. Make all necessary repairs.  Pasted from <

Will cleaning my roof insure I get top-dollar for my home?

For sellers, understanding the inspection process and preparing your home for the inevitable evaluation not only helps to ensure that the transaction goes through, but can often translate into getting a top-dollar selling price as well.  Pasted from <http://realestate.aol.com/article/improve/_a/home-inspection-survival-guide/20061018004909990001>

What are the odds of a home inspection?

According to a joint study by the
American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR), nearly four out of every five homes sold in the nation are evaluated by a professional home inspector before they are sold. Hired by the homebuyer, these inspections are designed to protect the buyers from investing in a home that turns out to be a real life money pit. NAR reports that realtors recommend buyers get a home inspection nearly 99% of the time. Most buyers heed that advice, requesting home inspections in 84% of all transactions.  Pasted from <http://realestate.aol.com/article/improve/_a/home-inspection-survival-guide/20061018004909990001>

What's the bottom line?

"Roof problems are a turn-off to buyers, and a common cause of failed inspections and transactions failing to close."
